Description

The Lump detector correcting potentiometer unit is an auxiliary device for lump detectors. The probe on a lump detector may bend under an excessive load due to lumps, causing the electrical resistance of the built-in strain gauge to change. If it is a minor change, pressing the BAL switch twice within 0.5 seconds enables automatic balance adjustments. If the change is large, the BAL switch may be ineffective and fail to make balance adjustments. The potentiometer unit is used in such cases.
