Description

Loss of electrical capacitance during measurement is an intrinsic problem that plagues conventional capacitive level transmitters. To overcome it, DITECH's Non-induction Electrostatic Capacitance Series employs innovative technology to prevent capacity losses during the measurement process both within the meter circuitry and along the non-induction extension cable to the detector. Thanks to this technology, these devices offer unprecedented accuracy and stability.
The Non-Induction Electrostatic Capacitance Series also combines a totally new measurement concept with advanced electronic technology, and it is capable of extremely delicate measurements and inductive viscous material measurements.

Moreover, the line-up include these transmitters performing well as a water level meter, a liquid level meter or a interface meter.

Operating
principles

Every material has intrinsic electrical characteristics such as permittivity and conductivity. This transmitter detects electrostatic capacitance changes generated by the rise or fall of the level of the measured substance in the tank, and then converts these changes into an integrated signal. A variety of meters and detectors are available according to the measurement condition.

Construction

With conventional electrostatic type level transmitter, capacitance loss and capacitance distribution loss are intrinsic problems. Our models eliminates both of these problems by means of a non-induction structure. The meter internal wiring, the detector and the extension cable are constructed with an inherent capacitance of zero, so there is no need to compensate for capacitance loss or distribution loss. Moreover, because it contains no unstable elements, this device exhibits no significant changes with time or variation in temperature coefficient, thereby ensuring consistently high measurement accuracy.

Operation is simple, requiring only ZERO and SPAN adjustment. And the models also feature a built-in distribution capacitance and conductance compensation circuit to allow use with a diversity of both new and already installed detectors of various compositions.

This model is composed of detector unit, transducer, relay power source and special cable that is 4 core control cable. As the transducer is designed to be installed in a dangerous area, the special cable can be made short enough to minimize picked-up noises, thus permitting a stable performance to be obtainable. As to performance, this model has the same characteristics as those of Model QBS.
